Hui Chun (Return to Spring)
Qi Gong
The full name is Xuan Wu Pai Hui Chun Qi Gong. It is the first and fundamental exercise within the WDP training system and is an excellent introduction for those new to Qi Gong. It is also a great practice for starting the day or calming down after a long day at work. At İsmet Himmet's (You Li Han) Kung Fu school in China, students would begin the day with this Qi Gong sequence every morning at sunrise.

It is known as "Return to Spring" because of its regenerative, healing, and meditative effects on the human body and mind. Spring represents renewal, development, and growth.

In this practice, both static and dynamic postures are practiced in a slow, gentle, and fluid manner, accompanied by breathing. It fills our bodies with life energy (Qi), increasing vitality and mental clarity, enhancing rootedness and grounding, reducing stress levels, and harmonizing mind and body. This harmony allows us to realize our spiritual side by regulating and improving our internal energy field (internal feng shui). It creates a healthy mind in a healthy body and enables us to live with a peaceful heart. Thus, the "harmony of stillness and movement / Yin-Yang balance" mentioned in the 10 Ancient Principles is experienced.
